JUSTICE and JPCOAR released a statement against the American Chemical Society's Article Development Charge
On 21th September 2023，the American Chemical Society (ACS) announced the introduction of the Article Development Charge (ADC), which charges authors US$2,500 for the right to deposit accepted manuscripts in a repository without embargo (grace period for publication).

On 10th November 2023, Japan Consortium for Open Access Repositories (JPCOAR) and Japan Alliance of University Library Consortia for E-resources (JUSTICE) issued a statement against the American Chemical Society's Article Development Charge.
